You are right. An equivalent solution:

$x^{2}\ +\ xy\ +\ y^{2}\ \ =\ \ \left ( x+\frac{y}{2} \right )^{2}\ +\ \frac{3}{4}y^{2}\ > \ 0\ \ \ (since\ x,\ y\ \neq \ 0)$

Now factorise: m⁴ + m² + 25
