Hi all, just would like to clear up a bit of confusion in what subjects I have to take/when I take them.
I had a look at the Chemical Engineering Course Outline - do I have to follow this to the letter, or can I mix it around a bit?

Since most of the Science subjects are taken much later according to the outline, do I necessarily have to choose a Science major before Year 4? Also, taking a look at the required subjects for Chemical Engineering, I notice a lot of the subjects (4, in fact) overlap with the Stage 1 requirements for the Science major I'm interested in - Molecular and Cell Biology. BABS1201 also seems to be an eligible elective for engineering - can my timetable then look like this -

Sem 1: MATH1131, PHYS1121, CHEM1011, ENGG1000
Sem 2: MATH1231, CHEM1021, ENGG1811, BABS1201(elective)
Later on: BIOT1011 (2nd year)

and complete the Stage/Year 1 requirements for both BE and BSc? My overlapping subjects of MATH1131, MATH1231, CHEM1011, and CHEM1021 fulfill the '24 overlapping credits between Engineering/Science' sorta-requirement, right?

Cheers in advance!

Yes, that structure for Year 1 which you've got there is perfectly fine.

Just letting you know BABS1201 is only offered in semester 1.

Well BIOT1011 doesn't seem to be a possible elective, does this mean I'll have to just take another subject elective for engineering? (Like the recommended CEIC1000)

Cheers! Damn, wasn't looking forward to adding another subject for now. Ah well, should be fine.
