Ok if you read my earlier post u'd know that I'm doing an in class essay on aspects of Buddhism as a belief system.

I'm having trouble finding this section "the nature of power in said belief system.

All I have is this:

Power and Authority

- Power is not exercised through all members
- Levels of status and importance exist.
- Different degree of participation in the decision making process.
- Males have more authority over women
- Within the family father is the head of the home.

Could anyone help???? I'm doing it tomorrow :(

well, power/authority is kind of shown through status or "rank" yeah? So, a monk would have greater authority than a follower of buddhism.

Read here and go through some of the pages, it becomes a bit on the feminist perspective...

See here for a few views on authority.
