Belonging story - confusing? (1 Viewer)

Would my belonging story be confusing if I feature frequent flash backs in time? My premise is that it is a dystopia and throughout the story, the persona feels belonging through certain objects that trigger flashbacks.

I wouldn't suggest it, you can get full marks from something simple. Remember KISS. As long as it's creative and has alot of techniques you should go well. If you are a good writer and can do that in a 'short' story then go for it.
