A man is bitten by a shark and is alienated from his community, because they are anti-survivors, but winds up bonding with a Vietnam veteran and they both ending up screaming 'you weren't there man, you weren't there' to passers by.

If you wrote it as a long-form feature article, I reckon it'd sound disturbingly legit.

The best creative ideas emerge from your own personal experiences, it is much better to reflect on your own experiences and write a creative that explores multiple concepts from the belonging rubric rather than just one, it is very hard to write authentically using an idea someone else has given you since that person probably don't know you and your experiences.. brainstorm and deconstruct this rubric point and think of the possible plot ideas and choose the best one and start writing
