I thought this was actually a very slow year for music...a few came out that were *good*, but very few that were worth writing home about...:(

well, lets see what I can remember here.......

Augie March - Strange Bird (totally agree with Butterfly Wings here)

John Mayer - Room for Squares...yes, it was too produced etc. etc. but I still give this guy respect although it appearently seems he's more of a teenie pop idol than he should be...

Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head...maybe not as good as their first album but given the competition this year it still ranks high in my books...

George - Polyserina (however you spell it)...actually did that come put in 2002 or before?? Ahh, really good album anyways imho.

The motorace cd was pretty good as well I guess and I really want to get that Tori Amos cd as well as Gersey.

I actually really like Avril Lavigne's album. Most of the songs (her ballads) are really beautiful

The best album would have to be Missy Elliots "Under construction" its mad!!!!

As much as i hate to admit it Avril Lavignes songs arent that bad except for "Scater boy" that was crap!!! But she is definately better than Britney spears!!!

this was the year that i discovered all those cd's that you bought but never really listened to. blame the hsc and too many hours studying. so these are my fav's that i discovered this year, not released this year.
mick hart: still the flowers bloom. gorgeous lyrics and the viola is excellent.
george: polyserina. katie has the most awesome voice and the range...... not a fan of the boy/girl alternation on the cd. needs to be on random.
anything by nick drake. the guy was a genius.
the waifs. there old stuff is so much better than their new stuff. been a fan for a few years now and still love them.
jack johnson. perfect study music.
