So who are your favorite guitarists of modern times (ie they are in the peak of their career NOW. Not 50 years ago. Not dead. Not washed up nobodies).

Post examples of songs so people can listen.


I have to say Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold (yes, its a cheesy stage name).

And All Things Will End - Nice riff, good harmonies and a killer solo at the end. Alsao has a pretty cool little lead part under the chorus.

Seize the Day - Softer song with a nice emotional solo that fits perefctly.

To End The Rapture - Short little intro song with a fairly good solo with a lot of tapping.

also, jack rose (Pelt), sir richard bishop (Sun City Girls) and steffen basho junghans. i guess john fahey doesn't count... but he still rules.
