The other day I downloaded and played alex the kidd. This game took me years, and I never finished it. I played it (kinda cheated) and finished it in an hour.

is that the really old arcade one? if its the same one im thinking of (1-4 players, each family membet exclu. maggie) then that was a great game. My bro downloaded that on pc.. the end boss is a real bitch.

And I also used to play Hugo 1: House of Horrors.

I didn't know how to get past the dog until yesterday. lol
Now I'm still stuck on the mummy part. I can't save my game so I have to keep starting over and over again.

Isn't it amazing how much games have changed (visually) only during our lifetime?

I forgot to mention the Nintendo games of my childhood.

Donkey Kong 1,2 and 3 were the best!
Everything from:
Swinging from those tree things
Those great mine cart levels *GREAT*
The bonus levels where you ride on an animal and get as much points as possible.
Turning into a rhino, emu etc.

And Super Mario World on SNES.

Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat are two classics.
Hugo - that weird looking alien thing.

Wolfenstein 3D - anyone got Return to Castle Wolfenstein? It's pretty good, only problem is now it has to compete with Medal of Honor, CS etc.
Wacky Wheels also cool.
Pacman - major 80's.

its funny how old games when they just came out were thought as the best games available, now u can get them on mobile. eg prince of persia and there are afew others

Thats progress I guess. The upcoming handhelds are more powerful in most areas than the consoles of last generation.
