best physics textbook? (1 Viewer)

I have a whole host of physics textbooks lying around, but I just cannot get down to studying from them because of a whole number of reasons.

a) they are not visually appealing or CONCISE!! It is like 3 pages of rubbish for a simple 2 sentence definition.

b) above.

What Physics textbooks for prelim and hsc in the future for me :) do you recommend?

Jacaranda and Excel seems to have been my most effective combination..

i usually read excel just to get the jist of things then i use jacaranda for more detailed stuff. its got lotsa nice colours and diagrams :uhhuh:

Unfortunately, with the new syllabus, it's meant that there is a lot of useless information in the text books for the moment, Jacaranda included. I think it is very good, but just keep your syllabus handy because you don't want to look at stuff that you don't need to. :)
