Dunno if anyone here has heard of Flatout, the smashability of the cars are so good and you can even destroy the terrain like fences and power lines. I've only played the demo and was very impressed.

I never raced. I always went after the others. Racing is practically impossible, as theres hardly any time bonuses.

Man, Powerslide was hardcore. I hated it.

Oh yeah, and the original carmageddon (without the pansy zombie edit) was so sweet.

Indeed.

Powerslide was mad. It's more fun racing in vehicles that slide like soap on a bathroom floor than playing a standard been-there-done-that racer. Powerslide is a gem. Watching AI racers stack their cars on the first turn will always be amusing.

As far as I am convinced, F-Zero X on the N64 is perfection, though F-Zero GX on GCN is pretty damn good too. I loved Carmageddon but I wouldnt call it a racing game.
