did any of y'all hear the Minstrel Show by Little Brother

Phonte's the rapper of the group and he is very lyrical and 9th Wonder is the producer, and his beats r classic and soulful

the album's a bit strange musically, but after a few listens u really get used to it and the lyrcism starts to show through

yeah man minstrel show was great, i liked 'the listening' better (in particular 'so fabulous' because it sampled 'wild & peaceful' which i love) and i like chitlin circuit 1.5 mixtape better than minstrel show for some reason all three are brilliant though.

Why...? Black Eyed Peas arent even considered hiphop anymore..

By the way, are any of you guys familiar with the local scene?.. i must say i have been sleeping on the dudes for years but then i bought out the "hilltop hoods -the calling" album and it blew my mind. The flow, the punchlines, the metaphors.. the beats aren't like american beats, they are more organic, more hiphop.

You guys should check it out.. most of the scene is extremely impressive.
