No it's not just you, many people feel that softcore is more arousing than hardcore. It's more tasteful, and it's more realistic. Actresses are usually alot sexier and realistic in movies than pornstars anyway, with all their makeup cover-girl esque looks.

i only watched it for the first time a few weeks ago. i rewound nearly every scene with nomi randomly freaking out; they're just so bizarrely compelling.
