(comedies)
1. F R I E N D S - Best tv series ever. Never a bad episode, always can rely on them to make you laugh, adorable characters.
The Chaser's war on Everything (lest we forget your APEC stunt, and the time you got charged $4.95 at KFC for lettuce in a packet, and the doctor who song among many others)
Summer Heights High ( Chris Lilley deserves a vote, he is talented. Hello- Mr G...? ... sorry ranga...?)
We can be heroes
Everybody loves Raymond
How I met your mother
My wife and kids
South Park
Yes Minister
Simpsons

It doesn't deserve the title, but 'Wipeout' makes me laugh so hard I almost pee my pants. Watching old people punched it the face by plastic fists, bouncing off giant rubber balls and tripping over as a metal bar speeds towards them ...classic.

Dramas:
1. House MD (not so good any more though, best episodes were at the begining)
Sopranos
All Saints can be ok

X-Files most flexible show ever? What does that even mean?

It means its flexible, dumb cunt.

That is could do any type of show it wanted? Mythology one week, monster of the week the next, parody, then comedy, film noir, murder mystery and on it went.

lol

It was just a sci-fi drama 99% of the time. It's like considering Buffy a flexible series because, among I don't know how many seasons, one episode was a musical.

Ally McBeal was a very flexible show.

Other TV series I think were very flexible was "Hack", starring David Morse. He was a former cop who drove around a taxi, some episodes were drama's about he's personal life, others where episodes solving a crime or trying to find a criminal, and other episodes had him simply trying to help whoever was sitting in the cab with him.
