What do you ppl think of metallica playing, i think it'll be awesome, but iv'e been wondering wat kinda crowd they'll attract do you think ther'll be too many die hard metallica fans, u know the big huge guys with hair down to their shoulders? I just cant picture them moshing to the likes of the living end or AFI (not saying they are going).

QOTSA just announced an australian tour scheduled for january 2004, so theres a good chance they'll play BDO 04

however we can safely cross Zwan off the list now heheh

QOTSA Wont play even if they are down here, The big day out organisers are very strict with letting bands play 2 years in a row

oh ok, i didn't know that...they'd be a big drawcard though, even if they did play this year

*fingers crossed* for AFI, i saw them when they played at the roundhouse in august - best show i've EVER seen!

yeh i would expect to see them in 2005 though, seeing as they have played every two years. 99 01 03 i think they really like bdo and the bdo crew really like them

A PERFECT CIRCLE WITHDRAW FROM BIG DAY OUT

We knew it was too good to be true. Just when you feel you have the perfect line up the fickle finger of fate gets involved.

We bring you this news with a mixture of disappointment, confusion and frustration.

After previously confirming their appearance in writing, the representatives of A Perfect Circle have now advised us that for reasons too complex for us to explain, the act will not be performing at the 2004 series of Big Day Out festivals. We are still hoping to convince them to stay on the show but we felt it necessary to bring this to the attention of all concerned before tickets go on sale.
