USyd is shit. If you have a spare dollar, the Uni will try to pry it from your hands ASAP.

Thanks for the input.

As for law. Is the Sydney law degree vastly superior to that of ANU. Does it give you a distinct advantage in the workplace. Most partners in major firms seem to be either UNSW or USYD graduates.

No, your marks and experience will distinguish you.

Also, Sydney vs Canberra.
Are your memories of canberra from when you came here on a year 5 excursion?

Keep that in mind when you diss the 'berra.

You're the guy who used to say "scaling will not affect you if you do subjects you enjoy" in the HSC. It's just an undeniable fact that people will take note of what uni you went to, as much as they probably SHOULDN'T.

That the most straightforward no-BS comment I've seen so far in the university-name debate on BoS.

In saying that though, seeing as this debate is about legal education and name value between ANU and USyd, well both law faculties are reputable, even if ANU ranks higher than USyd as a whole in international university rankings. IF there is a slightly larger number of USyd graduates visible at Sydney law firms, I'm assuming it's because ANU has more of a focus on academic law, with many students going into legal academia or govt positions.

I've posted this link before and I'll post it again.
