well, my parents are both english teachers, so i was kinda always into reading, but prob the first "big person" book i got into was at 6, the hobbit. damn tolkien was cool

The Magic Faraway Tree series! I lived in their world. Dear Saucepan man. i loved ever minute that i spent in that world. This was probably in year 3

Next after that came Tamora Pierce and The song of the Lioness. Also v. addictive.
Then i met Tamora Pierce herself.

Those Choose Your Own Adventure books, Roald Dahl, Goosebumps.

ohhh! i nearly forgot. i used to be really into a serioes called Goosebumps!

I remember them! Although i never really read any of them. The first non-picture book that i chose to read was Albert Camus's The Outsider.
