This is a really stupid problem, but here it is :/ I went to the shops today to pick up my supplies for year 11, buying an ordinary J. Burrows 2 ring binder and a Sprax A4 lecture book, thinking that since the Spirax book had the corresponding ring holes that it would fit in my binder. When I got home I realized that the book won't lay flat against the bottom of the binder, because the mechanism that opens and closes the rings (you know the lever thing) is an obstacle in letting my workbook remain flat. The workbook can still fit and the rings can close, but it takes up 1/3 of the ring space.

How do I fix this? Can I fix this? Has anyone encountered a problem like this before?

And no mean comments please. I can't just go out and buy new ones.

Thanks.

You can make it pass through the spring and hold the book. But not recommended. I have tried it.

I just tried it and it did actually work. Not ideal or anything, but manageable. Thanks.
