Hi, i've been learning the binomial theroem for the past couple of days but im a bit confused. you could someone explain the basic idea behind this topic?, and give me an example on how to find a term in an expansion. thanks.

If you can't understand it then maybe you should just wait until you do it in class.

Oh hey! I started Binomial chapter yesterday and yead, it's sort of confusing a bit. I'm not sure about what you mean when asking the basic idea 'cuz perhaps I don't even know what is its basic idea. I guess it's how to use the nCk to work out the coefficients of a polynomials plus how they got the Pascal triangle. We've used it in Polynomials for 4u and it helps working well. So, Binomial theorem is to support the Polynomials skill!?

Binomial Theorem is the last topic our Ext 1'ers learn (and coincidentally, the first one us Ext 2'ers did). It is anything but easy. :\
