ya
it's just using PCR, adding ddNTPs as fluorescent end chains that indicate the base types and then computer processing the chromatograph to see what exact bases are on a particular sequence

its just dna sequencing right, figuring out what bases and in what order? but do we need to actually know the process 😭

literally, i dont even get pcr lmao
stands for 'polymerase chain reaction' basically one of the dna identification forms through amplifying DNA. basically, it denatures and then renatures the strands of DNA. gel electrophoresis helps produce this on a screen which can be helpful for forensics

areas i need to revise are:
- DNA replication
- pregnancy hormones
- plant homeostasis
- epidemiology
- mutagens (specifically electromagnetic)
- kidney stuff
- also dna sequencing prolly

nah you don't need to know the whole thing that level of detail is enough
what you do need to know is the differences between profiling and sequencing and how they show inheritance, diversity and help with disease

Also yk for this question:

It falls under the "investigate the response of a named Australian plant to a named pathogen through practical and/or secondary-sourced investigation" right?

What is the general active plant response im so lost. i thought we just needed to no the response of a named few examples (as inferred by the fucking dotpoint)

No this is from the innate/adaptive immunity dot point, not the plant one. Programmed cell death is part of the active/adaptive plant response.

The innate / adaptive immunity dot point specifies the human body: investigate and model the innate and adaptive immune systems in the human body (ACSBL119)
