My biology assignment says....
Draw a timeline that identifies key events in the formation of Australia as an island continent from its origins as part of Gondwana.
Am i able to use a computer program to make this? or do I have to draw it out on paper? I understand it says draw but wondering if its a must... Thank you

Yes you must draw it and have a scale for the timeline.

Drawing timelines is in the skills for biology.
The following is the timeline if you needed help:

225 MYA: Pangaea splits into Laurasia and Gondwana

150 MYA: Gondwana split from east to west

- East: Australia, Antarctica, New Zealand, New Guinea and India

- West: South America and Africa

125 MYA: South America separated from Africa

100 MYA: India moved away from Australia and drifted northwards, towards the part of Laurasia

that would soon become Asia

80 MYA: New Zealand separated from the landmass

45 MYA: Australia separated from Antarctica and began its period of isolation

15 MYA: Australia collided with south-east Asia

If the marking criteria has nothing that has to do with drawing... it probably doesn't count right? Unless they really hammered it in that it was meant to be hand-drawn...
