Aim for about the 83+/100 mark (I think). I'm not proficient with Biology raw marks though.

above 83? seems a bit low to me... above 90?
i mean, it does have the whole 'scaling down' thing...

In 2010 Someone got 89 raw > 95 reported
Another had 87 Raw > 94 Reported (2010)

Remember with Bio there is option scaling.

Anyone in this thread want to estimate what you need for a Band 5 in Bio?

Are you guys sure ( or atleast, confident) that bio doesnt scale down much? :S
People say it does, but then agian, if you get above 90, you should be good.
I'm just wondering, dunno to drop bio or not :S
my internal marks are 94+ (year 11)
so yeah :S

whats option scaling
different option topics scale differently, according to how well students in the state do overall. Generally, the harder the option is, such as Genetics: The Code Broken, the MORE it scales due to more students scoring LOWER, hence the RAW marks are adjusted to the correct percentile e.g. a mark of lets say 20/25 in Genetics could scale to 23/25, meaning that roughly only about 10% of the state scored a RAW mark of 20/25 or above in the option.

Does option scaling apply to physics and chemistry as well?

I think my indecisiveness will make me fail the hsc.
ive been thinking about this for like 1-2 weeks now, cannot decide D:

and plus just read an article about how fucked the 4u exam paper was..
what would your marks for bio scale to up/down if you average 90 in all your internal assessments ?
