>< I think it's actually moreso due to the fact that our Demonstrators mark really harshly. Cos like the Asian woman looks at every single word you write on your short answers.

Asian woman ey? We have Keyne as our main demonstrator with a bald guy, and a lady who has a European accent.

I didn't get full marks because I said the phylotaxi (whatever) of the corn was "alternate", when I should have added a suffix to that "alternate". Meh.

yay 3/3 for prac exercises
but todays lab was soo long, actually finished right to the end for once
everyone was too busy doing the drawing assessment that i dont think anyone had time or couldn't be bothered to fill in the rest of the practical stuff.
relying on the demonstrator to help us by bringing in the answers next week

Haha a Boser logging in thru unsw library computers.

Anyway, yeah man this practical was so boring! Not to mention, we didn't even have enough time to fill in everything. The demonstrators or BIOS1101 convenors should put up the filled up "prac" answers onto webCT so that at least we can double-check our answers.

3/3 for me as well 2day, just hope this damn flower stem will give me marks as well.

I rather enjoy this thread, it gives me a chance to prepare for the coming pretests and prac quizzes and such. Keep it up! :D

There should be a first year chemistry thread.

Ah...so we have a mole here. Eh hem *coughs*, I think we'll need to use a private communication now if we're discussing Bio pre-test questions.

naah haha, I was just joking. Cos like either way by the end of the day, we're helping each other, and yes every pre-test for each Biology Practical is entirely different. :)

Most people spend the WHOLE 3 hour worrying about the drawings. They are worth like 2-3%. At the end of the day, the prac test is worth more. So I would strongly recommend that everyone should fill in all the blanks because they will be tested!! (btw, there will be about 2-3 questions from each prac in the prac test.)

I stand by my previous comment of Paul Adam's lectures being boring as hell. I mean, nothing against him but all he does is repeat what's on the lecture slide and paces back and forth up the front in what is essentially a monotone. I can't wait until we get to fill in a few of those evaluations this term.

haha there was a noticeable difference within a space of a week
when mike archer was lecturing, the lecturer theatre was usually 3/4 full
today when paul adam lectured only a handful of students showed up
quite a remarkable transformation

I tried not to, but I still ended up spending most of the time drawing the stupid diagram. It was impossible not to.

Arh totally stupid, how we all waste like bloody 3 hours to just get a stupid drawing done, plus loads of questions.

Alot of people left the lab last time after they finished measly bad drawings, they just couldn't be bothered. But lmao me and Azn gangsta were just so 'BIOS1101' nerds in a way...we stayed like till there were only about 4-6 ppl left in the room.
