I'm so not up to speed with all this UAI technical jragon and stuff but i no, u guys have tons of pages of information on it so, i'm not asking for more. I just got back my ranks and i seen as we have to do our preferences really soon i want to start getting real. My ranks and marks are like

English adv 4/20 85%
Ancient 3/35 92%
History ext 1/5 92%
Legal 4/40 86%
MAths 5/50 80%
Maths ext 23/39 60% there are 24 4unit students

i was just wondering if someone that knows wat they're talking about could make an acurate asumption of wat i could get in the hsc.

90's is very achieveable. Your marks are band5+

The only thig that is left is doing well in the HSC exam and your set for 90's.

Low 90s seem possible. (Again, could be higher or lower dependin' on School and Exam performance.) Very solid rankings. :)

ok thats no good, it wasn't in the top 120 lol but i know for a fact that it is one of the best public schools.
I wanted to ask though, for example in english i came 4th although there were two people on senond hence i got the third highest mark. does that put me in a better position than if there were three separate marks ahead of me? Its the same with 2 unit. my rank was fifth although i got the third highest mark.
Can anybody share some insight?

Hmmm... providing you also do well in the HSC exams, I would say 89+.

No. In your case, it shouldn't make any difference.
