For the theme of 'playing god' or 'usurping the role of god' in the Frankenstein/Bladerunner comparison - i'm running low on relatable links/techniques. Anyone got any good ones ? + quotes if possible! THANK YOOU.

Frankenstein:
Look for the parts where he is fantasizing about creating a new species (religious diction: "a new species that would bless me as their creator and source")
or
when the monster talks about his creator/creation relationship with Frankenstein ("do your duty toward me" etc)

Blade Runner:
Tyrell corporation HQ being the golden ziggurat = religious connotations = capital and corporations usurping god
Anything from the scene where Roy meets Tyrell.

For Blade Runner, Tyrell's ziggurat is reminscent of the Tower of Babel, where men attempted to build a tower to heaven. In Tyrell's apotheosis, he is elevated to a quasi-religious status; he is in a heaven of his own making, where capitalism is the new religion- "commerce is our goal"
