Can anyone help me on this essay question:

Explain how the settings of the texts reflect man's relationship with the wild and the contexts of the texts?

You should include comments on meaning, context and technique in your response.

Setting of BR: Los Angeles 2019, polluted (issue of 1980s), asianised (issue of 1980s), dark, technological (Spinners), rain (despair)

Setting of BNW: London, sterile, live in communes, technology (helicopters)

the above all represent the alienation experienced between man and nature......due to human intervention (pollution, sterile enviroments......)

All of the above,

plus, BNW was written in a time of great interest and unrest during the beginning of a new era of production, ie. industrial revolution, and around the turn of the century, thus it was a prophetic view into the future.

BR was filmed during the 80's and shows the very same thread which ran through the BNW was still existent within the period despite the time gap which had taken place.

if i remember more or cbf scanning some notes i shall :)
