My parents are currently seperated and will get an official divorce during the year of my hsc. I stay at my mother's house and every weekend I go over to my dad's house to have lunch. It hasn't done any major emotional damage to me and in year 11 it hasn't hindered my studies.
Should I apply for bonus points? A lot of my friends are saying it's slack because I'm not affected by it.

I don't think it would work. I know some whose parent got cancer right in the HSC period and they got bonus points.

You won't get it due to the fact that your parents separated in year 11 rather than during the hsc period. If this happened sometime next year, then you could have applied for bonus points.
