The Seven Pillars of Wisdom - T.E. Laurence (Laurence of Arabia) - it's the same size as a phone book, of unknown age, and with a paper cover and separate plastic cover. I'm leery of the size, and also of damaging it.

Also Papillon - Henri Charriere - I just don't think I'd enjoy it.

Ooo I've read almost all of those! If you're planning to start again anytime soon, I would say go for Little Women or Wuthering Heights. I don't have a copy of Vanity Fair but I found that tough going when I borrowed it and ended up returning it cos I couldn't hack it.
