anyone going?

the sales have kinda been meh in the past, but with the whole pre-xmas discounting thing it'll need to be good.

myer is opening up all their NSW stores on boxing day, which is awesome since boxing day sales at myer in the city last year were insanely hectic, shitloads of people everywhere and really nothing good. catalogue is out: Myer Catalogues and city store opens 5am.

i might try DJ's this year, they have more stuff that i want.

GP sale is starting today apparently: http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c277/squirilina/vip-database-e-blast.jpg

depends on different stores, but minimum i find is around 10% less. anything above 50% off is generally stuff you really wouldn't want to buy.

not really dude.

there are racks and racks of clothes that are just put out from the recent season at like 50% off.

thats what i always go for.

DJs, fleur wood racks, 9.00am boxing day, every year.

ive never been to these xmas/boxing day sales before. how are they diff to normal sales? myer and dj's are always on 'sale'. and usually its for like XXXL shirts or designs that noone wants anymore/they got excess stock to get rid of. does decent stuff actually go on sale?

they'd be gone in less than half an hour i'd presume.

yooooooo

gp turned out to be a really good sale. got 3 pairs of shorts (at $40 each) and a decent polo ($30) for $150 all up. i lined up for about half an hour at the pitt st store. and without much surprise the clientele were mostly asian, along with myer and etc.

DJ was decent, although most of the good stuff would have been gone by the time i got there (8am). i might come back because theres a bunch of modern amusement flannel shirts that were largely untouched.

unsurprisingly the more busy parts were the hugo boss and diesel sections :/

did anyone cop any good buys?

i didn't really go for the "omg sale!" thing, but my set top box blew and i wanted to get a new one, so i went out and got one for like $120 or so as opposed to like $200. then out of curiosity i checked out dj's and got some sweet ben sherman shorts for like $20

people are fucking scary on boxing day, seriously. i was just walking through and this old lady grabbed my wrist and just glared at me, and i'm like "what the FUCK" and she just glared at me for a few more seconds and then turned around and walked off. ease up tiger, i don't want your discounted towels, it's okay.

Epic fail for my family on that day. My parents went to get some bargains but my youngest brother drove the car and crashed to the fence so yeah...as soon as they got to the mall, they had to be told by me to come back.
