So our... uhh.. eccentric principal got up on stage one assembly months ago, and after using a vague simile comparing us to FLEAS, she gave us this load of crap about nutrition and highs and lows and good foods etc. (she's the principal ffs... not her job.)

Anyway, this is about food which is good for concentration/exams. I reckon it's more suitable to here than Lifestyle cos it's exam habits, but anyway. What do you think is helpful? (apart from the obvious caffeine/sugar/guarana hits)

My list (so far):

-Vegemite, on wholemeal toast
-Berri SUPERJUICE (for the sugar)
-Weetbix
-caffeine :eek:

And suprisingly enough, chocolate. And probably anythign Low GI.

Vegemite and cheese toast.
Diced apple in a bowl of milk.
Green tea is good too.

coffee = boosted short term memory, good for studying

chewing gum= blood to the brain

yoghurt= low gi but keeps you going

chocolate= 50 minutes of energy

fish = an all rounder

umm this guy who came to speak to our school wrote a book called 'surving year 12' he's a well known child psychologist and in his book it has all the latest research into food known. It's worth a look.

At least your principal didn't compare you to the equine flu as mine did today. Yes.

Fish is good :)

I cant think of anymore. Maybe because my diet pretty much SUCKS.

I have a berroca every morning

clinically proven to improve concentration, reduce tiredness, keep you ready and energised - imo it works.

lol one of my friends said that although it helps at first , it ends up slowing you down after a bit .. which I kinda don`t think any of us want in our exams :p
