I did it once cos I was taking my friend home then my brother called me up and asked me to pick him up
I wouldn't do it on purpose because I like having my liscense but I'd do it if there was no other way of getting home.

We always go with the "S/he is a sibling" if one them looks like the driver. But doesn't have ID to proove it.
Cause your aloud to have siblings in the car, then one after that.

Always get away with it.

really? cos i thought u had to apply for an exemption for family members. theres nothing on the rta website that says u can drive family and its one of the things on the exemption form here

If you have a legitimate reason (work/volunteer etc) you can apply for exemption (in writing) through the RTA

they will then pass on your car and licence details to NSW Police.

However for all of you others I am afraid the stupid and downright illogical restriction still stands...
