i dont understand why the stupid shits did it in general like what the fuck was their thought process

I just dont get it at all. Like, Israel vs Palestine is on the other side of the world - I mean, nothing wrong with having an opinion but why carry on with the conflict here. I just dont get this whole immigrant mentality where they move to a proper country to "build a better life" because their country is dysfunctional/war torn, only to bring their baggage/conflicts to Australia. At some point, dont these people think "some things are best left in the old country, let's move on and build a better life by adapting to the superior country's norms". Ridiculous.

I couldnt imagine our family carrying on like idiots and protesting over events from our old country.

It's not just religion though, Australia is very permissive in the name of multiculturalism and that has led us to this point. I think as a society, we need to draw a line in the sand. By all means, bring your culture with you, but it needs to be made clear that if you come to this country for a better life, you need to abide by our values and not export sectarian conflicts.

For example, you want to wear a hijab/turban/kippa/whatever, you are free to do so as a private citizen. However, when you engage with institutions (i.e. work, school, government etc) and the requirements dont allow these things you must abide by our rules NO exceptions. The government gives an inch and immigrants take a mile. We need to stamp this out because the behaviour you saw on the weekend starts here. Immigrants get the message that Australia makes exceptions and as a result, the message is sent that you dont need to abide by our rules. If immigrants dont like these rules, they should be sent packing. Pretty soon, you will be left with immigrants who get with the program and adjust properly to Australian life and these are right people to be keeping.

i agree, immigrants have to adapt to the culture and norms of the country they move to. of course nothing wrong with having beliefs (as long as theyre sane) and practicing things or supporting things but when they do things like this its just not it like why the fuck are u actually doing that. theyve got to be mentally ill
