does anyone know bachelor of business admin?? is it any different from a bachelor of business at other uni's??

A Bachelor of Business is essentially a Bachelor of Commerce. I know UTS call their commerce degree B Business, but it's pretty much the same.

So a Bachelor of Business Administration (basically management) is like a branch of Commerce/Business. Similar to a Bachelor of Finance or something. It seems pretty odd to me why there would be seperate degrees (ie. there's a Bachelor of Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in finance ).

I'm not sure if that answers your question or not, lol.

I'm interested in doing marketing at ANU and saw the business admin course and wondered if it would be better doing Marketing through rather then through Commerce cause it seems like it might involve less maths

Well. It's marketing. I seriously doubt there will be less maths. It should be the same course, but BBusAdmin has only one difference and that's a major in leadership. If marketing is your goal, then I would probably stick to BCommerce, but if Business Administration suits you, then go for it.

Commerce maj. Marketing from the looks of it has barely any maths. There are two compulsory statistics courses, but that's about it, both of which are pretty easy.

Also, I think business admin is closer to a maj. in management.

don't try and act like a turbo when you're don't know what you're talking about.

B Finance > B commerce (Finance)

B Fin is a specialised degree which focuses on finance. you do more finance units than what a B Comm schmoe would do, and you specialise even further by majoring in either a quantitative side or a qualitative side of finance.
B Comm is a watered down degree which touches on finance.

it's like:

B Music compared to B Arts (music)
B IT compared to B Science (IT)
B Photonics compared to B Science (Photonics)

etc.
