Hey what is this business cadetship?

Its like any cadetship where you work and study at the same time, however, although the companies are in the finance sector, you can still study a degree that is not related to the finance field. For example, you can do an arts, engineering or science degree and still be a business cadet. Plus you can choose what sort of program you want and not be told to do a 2 + 2 or sandwich program. Our year is the first year that this program is available to, and so they have only chosen 29 schools that can participate in it. However, next year, it is open to all year 12 students.

I got one for BNP Paribas. Really wanted UBS..ah well..

congrats! so given the choice would you take this or an accounting cadetship?

Well it depends which part of BNP i get into. If i think that the career in that division will be better, then ill stick with biz cadetship. Otherwise ill go with accounting. =)

They notified me by email
And interview is on the 16th of July (which is a Monday I believe) and I also have to take a questionnaire online which apparently takes 30-45 minutes.
Oh and did you guys apply for the biz cadetships?

hey, i got BNP too. they've sent a link for a personality test or whatever. have any of you guys done it yet?..do you know if its just multiple choice or is it a short answer thing?...or maybe i should just do it and find out

Yeah mine specified a time, like 9 am on Monday. I will also be contacted early next week too.

someone from my school who got into bnp...she said those 3 hours included a presentation of some sort...so i'm guessing its initially a group thing?

so aricho, are you more interested in this or the other cadetships?
