I always went for well-known, but not overly saturated business. I would advise AGAINST faking case studies on things like apple, maccas, qantas ETC. A lot of schools (mine included) directly teach these, so if you bullshit something, the marker is more likely to know.

Instead use brands that you know, but are slightly less popular. Maybe Sony, IKEA, Pandora, Starbucks etc. That way you can still forge shit that you know about, without being overtly caught out

if u are making up case studies its best to do the other sections as fast as possible to give urself plenty of time (~an hour) for the essay so that u can atleast be creative w it instead of writing abt something basic

no! and its not considered wrong to make up case studies as long as ur relating them to the question asked and syllabus content. i dont see why they would mark someone down. just make the stats sound realistic

they’re not gonna be that strict unless u have a really stupid case study

like saying qantas makes $100 trillion dollars a year is so unrealistic and stupid it’d tick them off but they’re not gonna do much abt it, prolly place u in a lower band at most
