Hi..

im interested in getting into a business course in uni or something, but im not sure whether or not i should try get a CPA too, to increase my skills and employment options in the future. Can anyone get a CPA, or do you only have to be studying accounting courses? I dont know if i want to get into accoutning or not, but it is an option.

Thanks

ok, guys, a clarification for CA and CPA, both of them is well know in da financial sector.
Plus no matter which one you get in, it depends how further u gonna use ur degree (specilaisation >>tax, financial planning, etc)
For Locke, U will need to qualify to do CPA if u wish with an accredited degree approved by CPA or CA (usually both approved) , u can check in the CPA offical site. "YOU CANT DO CPA UNLESS u have done a accredited degree.(e.g Beacholor of Taxation in UNSW in a Accredited degree. Not nessary to be accounting degree~ bring on any question that u want to ask~

by da way, CA start rite after yr 12 and u get work experience, partially paid Uni tutition fee, but u are on contract with ur company that support u during after u finish ur uni ~
But I guess the reason CA is better because u start earlier = =" with ur career
personally, I suggest CPA, coz my family memebers are a member lol and it is more fliexble to be CPA because u have more options with ur career~
P.S guess wt, Nowadays CA are advertising which they never do in the past , before it is CPA who does it, which means ..hehe
