i did ext 1 math in year 11, averaged high 70s/low 80s (idr exactly) and was ranked 3rd
i go to a 300+ ranked public school

i dropped ext 1 math bc my school doesnt run 4u and i got my distance ed form rejected twice, so i thought it was useless doing one unit of math alone, now i realise that i really do miss it and i might actually need it to save my atar

idk if im allowed to pick it up, hence why im asking, or is it specific to each school?

oh also: my school does at1 for ext in week 1/2 so they havent really done ranks/marks or anything, and i have 3 weeks to study everything

I don't understand the need for application for retarded distant ed.

Why can't they just deliver the Maths Extension 2 exam paper to the school you go to? Like how the fuck can they reject it on the basis of location 💀

Plus distant ed is so ass. ur better off learning Maths Extension 2 by urself using Maths in Focus (9780170413435) than the garbage distant ed resources/zoom calls

4u is easy band 6, raw Mark really scales it up
idk if you've done 4u yet but it makes sense why the cutoff is so low. A b6 in 4u is probably easier than one in chem/phys/english but it's defo harder than in 2u/3u despite the lower cutoff. It's not that you need to be good at maths to get a band 6, however, you at least need a somewhat decent understanding of the content for 70% or whatever you need whereas if you're getting 70% in chem/phys you just straight up don't know the content properly.
