depends on the school though the policy usually is that you have to have met the prelim requirements...both assessment and content/hours...the subject you are dropping *may* satisfy the hours though (using creative admin). 1 unit into 2 isnt that hard and 2 down to 1 is easy.... but no SOR into SOR may be fun

I'm not sure. But my friend shes doing SOR2 and shes dropping to SOR. But because shes been doing SOR2 for most of prelim she doesn't need to do SOR until next term when yr12 starts.

i don't see why it would be difficult to pickup SOR in year 12
it really depends on your school, for me none of the yr11 SOR was used in yr12....i basically forgot everything we done in year 11

also i did SOR1 in yr11 and then picked up to SOR2 in yr12 and never regreted it!

that can all be fixed with some simple paper work if his head religion teacher will be bother to do it

thats what I meant by creative admin though I wouldnt do it as they have done none of the basics of the course .: they are not eligible in the eyes of the board......

my school got away with it by making students do the required extra topics during the christmas holiday.....like summerised the chapter and do the activities and that was it
didn't take long and wasn't difficult, we didn't have to 'know' the stuff because it's not used in the hsc

that is one way but some schools take prelim hours seriously as they are a requirement.

*Agrees with the statement of yr 11 being a bit useless at 1 unit level but not really with 2 unit, esp. in the Cross Religion Studies. If you do it in Yr 11, you have more time for yr 12.....*

it depends on your teachers and how much enthusiasm you have
best bet is to ask your teacher and say that you are willing to work to get uptodate on the stuff you missed out, which shouldn't/isn't much

bTW its just SOR 2...not SOR extension 2!!! (ie its just a plain old 2 unit subject, not a 3 unit/extension course!!)
Might help you in your quest if you call it by its correct title!!

Im guessing that either you joined SOR 1 (more likely) or you are in SOR 2 and think that there is an extension version (less likely but possible).
Your school might question you jumping up units so quickly ie why didnt you just do 2 unit in the first place but as Red said, it should nt too much of an issue (but a hell of a lot of work for you given that you picked up SOR so late in the first place)
