can i study 6 units of maths in one year of hsc? (1 Viewer)

ive just wonder..i saw some people have maths, maths extension 1 and maths extension 2 on their sign, is that mean u can do 6 UNITS of maths in one year?

no you cant, 4u units is max. Most schools make students to mathematics, if they are doing extension 2 mathematics, incase they want to drop down.

if your doing ext2 maths, you are doing 4units [though if you do it, it might end up feeling like more because the time you spend on ext2], so you will be doing 2 units of adv, 1 unit of ext1, and 1 unit of ext 2, though you will be spending less time one 2u and more on ext 2

no, mx1 + mx2 = 4 units. mx1 = 2 units, mx2 = 2 units, if u do mx2.

i can't believe he was the only person who has posted the correct info regarding this matter so far!!!!
he is right. when you pick up ext. 2 maths you don't sit the 2u maths exam but you may still attend class at school. Extension 1 maths becomes 2 units and extension 2 becomes 2 units.

Thank god I dropped extension and advanced for the HSC.
