UMM how do u do absolute value graphs?
the teachers dont explain very well

the question is :

y = | x -2 |

please helpp

Simple, Just do whatever calculation is within the absolute value signs.
Then if theres a negative symbol from it - simply drop it
e.g. when x = 0, y = |-2|
therefore y = 2

Draw the graph as you would normally, then reflect anything below the x-axis in the x-axis. This is because y≥0.

Y = | x | is simply a "V" that goes through (0,0).

For Y = | x - 2 |,
you move the "V" two steps right because X needs to be 2 for Y to be 0.

Or think: X needs to be 2 more than Y, so when Y is zero (on the X axis), X must be 2.

The shape stays the same because no multiples/divisions are involved. Eg. if it were Y = |2X - 2| then the slopes will change.
