I was wonding for the projectile motion questions in the space topic....Can we do them the way we get taught in extension maths instead of using the formulas on the data sheet?

I find the 'maths' method much easier and i did it in my trials without any problem. But does anyone know if we're allowed for the HSC?

what else?

can use the maths method in physics but not the physics method in maths.

You can, although they are harder, take more time and you are more likely to screw them up.

I'm not using the 3Unit method.

All through my HSC exam of 3 Unit i was thinking for the projectile question "Why the hell can't the ask the same stuff as physics" cause i knew those formulas better than the maths ones.

yeah my teacher said u can not get marked down for using maths in physics. Using calculus you can pretty easily derive the formulas anyway and see they are the same anyway.
