who likes to play card games, and if anyone does it more then fun? eg enter tournaments and stuff.

i like to play poker with my friends someitmes, we use chips as bets. I been to the star city casino once and really enjoyed the bacljack, the computer version and the real person table.

tell me if u like any cards games, and if u have any stories that happened to you at the casino or while playing a game.

after the formal after party - 4amish i think, memory is a tad hazy, we went to starcity that being the only thing that was open mid-week and close enough to walk to and there were still people gambling. One of these guys put a grand on 1 hand of black jack and lost . . . . Oh dear

hahah yeh the star city card is the best thing - 3 free drinks per day.

almost makes it worthwhile going there just for that. then again the 3 drinks become pretty damn expensive if you lost money at the same time :p

When you play poker, you gotta play Texas Hold 'em.

Much betta than the random 'five card draw'.
fuck yeah, sometimes we play a few rounds of hold 'em with deuces wild, makes for an interesting few rounds

That's because it's casino policy NOT to put clocks in the casino because that way people don't know what time it is and so stay longer than they intend, gamble more and the house makes more money.
Nice theory mate but it's actually law that any gambling table/machine has a clearly visible clock (for exactly this reason, the RCG).

Poker is fundamentally very simple (as are the variants like lowball, 5/7 card draw, hold 'em). But knowing the rules and being able to win are two totally different things.

I've only done the RCG which is for clubs/pubs that come under state regulations which MUST have clocks visible from almost anywhere on the gambling areas, im not 100% sure on whether this applies to the casino's which come under federal regulations but i'd assume it does . . .
