hey dudes
My teacher told me that although it doesn't count to your ATAR, Catholic studies still appears on your HSC Record of Achievement.
Now I'm not sure if he's just saying this so I cooperate, but does anybody know if this is true?
If this isn't true then i can really just fail the entire thing

Yeah he is correct. It will appear on your certificate saying you completed 2units (1unit?) of Catholic studies.

It's a 1 unit subject.
But does it just say I completed it, or does it also give a mark?

Yep, it doesn't count towards your ATAR or HSC which is why you don't have a HSC exam for it.

Ahhh that makes sense, thanks.
Also, what happens if I get an N-award in it?

Then it won't count towards your HSC units. I'm not entirely sure whether or not that shows on your record, but I believe it just takes the course off the list entirely.

If that would put you under the 10-unit requirement then you would be ineligible for the HSC, but I doubt that's your case. However your school could have disciplinary policies about it.

That said, surely a 1-unit course like that isn't terribly difficult to pass?
