Assess the effectiveness of steps taken to alleviate the problems that hte use of CFCs has caused.

thanks for that currysauce

I was looking at the marking criteria (CSSA 2005) for this question and it says u need to discuss the difficulties in monitoring ozone levels and natural variations in ozone levels...is this necessary and if so are we like supposed to talk about UV spectrophotometer and TOMS???

I don't think UV spectrophotometers and TOMS is necessary.

You need to talk about what has been done to lower CFC levels - the Montreal Protocol, the temporary solution of HCFCs, and HFCs.

In assessing their effectiveness, you need to look at the efficiency of the CFC-replacements, and their relative cost.

If you want full marks you'll need to add your own 'assessment'
of these stops, so you should add whether they've worked
or not
