what other organelles are there??? @@

Things like lysosomes, mitochondria/ chloroplasts/ nucleus/ nucleolus/ i think ribosomes too. also, there are many other organelles we are unaware of, so much much more i guess. One bio student at my skool asked "in the nucleus, theres a nucleolus, is there another nucleus in the nucleolus??" We just laughed it off. :p

IS A VIRUSE A LIFEFORM?

There is a tremendous debate about this question. Some people consider them to be just a bunch of chemicals. Other people consider them to be living parasites, because they require the metabolic machinery of host cells to survive. But they do reproduce, and they do have genetic material, so many people consider them to be the simplest living organisms. Probably the safest answer is that viruses have both living and nonliving characteristics.

By the way, viruses obey, remember back to primary school MRS GREN, the characteristics for living things according to MRE GREN;
• Movement
• Respiration
• Sensitivity
• Growth
• Reproduction
• Excretion
• Nutrition
