Not necessarily.

They may be good at socialising but bad at interviews.
This. The bloke that failed the interview from my school was pretty social and got them marks, he just said he wasnt expecting the questions they did ask in the interview

Yep.

Also some people never get the umat prep material..... While others spend tons of $$$$

The people that do get the prep material would know what's coming.

Lol, that's when you realise the value of having a social life throughout highschool. When you don't get a spot because you've absolutely f***ed up your interview.
no, this guy I know was super talkative in class and was popular, so it depends on the individual...

i dont think social means popularity/talkativity, i think it leans more towards leadership skills, communications skills volunteering and what not (i may be wrong but thats what i gather from "social" for an interview)

Hey everyone. Not trying to sound stupid but I just wanted to ask you guys that have done the umat b4 if it'd make sense to start from the back since they might be the easier set of question so It'd be like going from easy to hard which should help with time management and confidence :thrust:

this. By having a social life, i meant doing extracurricular activities because when u sit in the interview, you can't just say that you're a nice guy and you'd be a good leader and you know how to work as a team member blahblah without any evidence. A good interview score requires you to relate back and prove everything you say by relating it to something you've done before and how you managed it and handled it and gained something out of it. (plus answering appropriately to the scenario questions which should also come naturally if you have some common sense)

To OP, if you're worried about getting in, then most likely you won't and also since you said you got a few mistakes in the acer tests your chances have significantly decreased. But nevertheless, put 150% of your energy into umat. (I'm sorry if that was harsh)
How convincing of you to say that.

Easier said than done. I'm helping a two PHD students go for their USYD interviews and they aren't even good at answering the questions despite many years in the work force then again USYD is scenario based. Undergraduate interviews are probably easier but still.
