At the moment we are doing 'Whats Eating Gilbert Grape?' (film) and the poem 'The Door' by Miroslav Holub.

The Door is a good poem to use for intertextuality... It can relate to alot of other texts.

My english teacher gave me one of the old HSC stimulus booklets with lots of good stuff for change, such as the "national picture".
A good visual for change is Clueless and Shrek, which lots of studnets study in year 12 for their HSC. Clueless especially if ur teacher chooses to teach you Emma, cos its a parallel.
