Is there any trick to doing these??

v^2 = u^2 +2as

Make a the subject


If anyone knows any tricks would be much appreciated :)

ok so you have v^2 = u^2 +2as
first you want to get the bit with a in it on a side by itself so it will go to

v^2 - u^2 = 2as

then to get the a by itself divivde by 2s

( v^2 - u^2 ) / 2s = a

v2 = u2 + 2as
2as = v2 - u2 {by subtracting u2 from both sides of the equation}
a = (v2 - u2)/2s {dividing both sides by 2s}
It doesn't really get any simpler than that mate.
