what are the characteristics of a tps. is just the rapid response, reliability, inflexibility and controlled processing stuff or something else.

now that you ask, i get all of them except controlled processing. Could you please explain, or anyone else, thanks

i thought there were five characteristics of a tps
rapid response
reliability
inflexibilty
controlled processing
and minimizing organisation costs

controlled processing means the processing in a TPS must support an organisation's daily operations.
for example, in a supermarket the tps may be set up only to allow supervisors to change the prices of goods or allow refunds to be provided to customers

wow thanks for that, brownsound. i was totally lost on what controlled processing was, im doing an assignment :(.
