Hey, has anyone done this subject before??? What's it like and more importantly DO THE LABS TAKE THE FULL 3 HOURS - I have a slight clash with another subject and would love the labs to finish in like 2 or 2 1/2 hours.

labs last as long as you want to make them be

organic chemistry labs will most likely take the entire 3 hours if not more

physical chemistry 2.5 hours is probably ok

Sometimes they can be over the 3 hours, honestly, you will very very rarely get out before the 3 hours are up, even if you have done pre + post lab beforehand.

yeah more often than not you have to wait around for chemical reactions to occur, but you spend that time chatting with ppl

also clean up as you go- dont leave it all till the end

hi,
I did chem 2C last semester. You can definitely finish the lab sessions within 2 hours if you:
- do the prelab work and read and understand the prac before hand so you know exactly what you are doing.
- multi task...divide duties between partners and do different things/ sections and at the end copy each other results...most of the time you are allowed to do that.
- if you have a friend who did that prac earlier in that week...ask them about any hard bits or common mistakes people made in their class.
