After going through the chem bridging booklet, and starting much needed revision for tomorrow's test, I encountered the following problems:

4. In a chemical atomic mass determination, the tin content of 3.7692g of SnCl4 was found to be 1.7170g. If the atomic mass of chlorine was taken as 35.453, what is the determined value for the atomic mass of tin from this experiment?
[N.B: Answer is 118.6]

9. A piece of plumber's solder having a mass of 3.00g was dissolved in dilute nitric acid, then treated with dilute H2SO4 [sulfuric acid]. This precipitated the lead as PbSO4 which after washing and drying had a mass of 2.93g. The solution was then neutralized to precipitate stannic acid, which was decomposed by heating, yielding 1.27g of SnO2.
What is the analysis of the solder as % Pb and % Sn by mass? [N.B: Answer is 66.7% Pb and 33.3% Sn]

I'd appreciate any help. :)
